Sustainability-In-Action: September Wines powers their store with 100% renewable energy and reduces their carbon footprint even further by offsetting their wine shipments. They offer organic and sustainably farmed wine and also sell reusable bags to carry your wine in. If you do get a bag, you can be sure its recycled paper. The store conserves water by having a low flow aerator in their bathroom faucet and a toilet tank bank that limits the amount of water used for each flush. The employees also drink filtered tap water rather than buying bottled.
Sustainability Goals: September Wines plans on reducing their trash output by recycling wine corks, along with using reusable hand towels rather than paper towels. They are also plan to shift to buying more recycled business supplies such as 30% post-consumer recycled printer paper and 40% post-consumer toilet paper. September Wines is committed to taking the earth into consideration throughout all their business practices as they work to become greener.
