Sustainability-In-Action: 7A Cafe stocks as many local food products as possible. 7A has completed an energy audit to reduce their power consumption. The restaurant’s bathrooms and storage areas are retrofitted with occupancy sensors to prevent unnecessary use of lighting. The front entrance also features a vestibule to reduce drafts and allow for more efficient heating and cooling.
Sustainability Goals: 7A has expressed interest in enrolling in the Eco-To-Go program by pledging to reduce unnecessary packaging, menus, and utensils in their take-out. They are also considering becoming a TapIt refill station, providing free drinking water for all. The owners would also like to install aerators on some faucets to reduce their water usage.
