Sustainability-In-Action: Cobblestones is a vintage store that is 99% dependent on its small group of suppliers that reside in New York City. All the clothing and accessories from the store are second-hand and eco-friendly. Cobblestones recycles its packaging material, usually using it for various tasks within the store.

 

Sustainability Goals: Cobblestones plans on upgrading to CFL light bulbs in the store to reduce the energy demand. Additionally, they intend to install an automatic door stopper would better insulate the clothing store and conserve indoor air temperature. Cobblestones will begin to use a vinegar and warm water mixture to clean instead of using harsh chemicals. Finally, the store will have a reusable towel in its bathroom and obtain an indoor plant to improve indoor air quality.
