Sustainability-In-Action: Many of the whimsical gifts at this boutique are created by local artists. Their product lines include letterpress cards, handmade jewelry, artwork, and eco-friendly baby clothing made from organic cotton. In addition to sustainable product lines, Pink Olive reduces use of disposable paper towels by cleaning with reusable rags and providing fabric hand towels in the employee restroom. They reuse packaging materials found in deliveries, often cardboard and tissue paper, to reduce waste.
Sustainability Goals: Pink Olive participated in a lighting assessment and plans to replace its old light bulbs with CFL and LED bulbs. They plan to switch from conventional to green cleaning products.
