Sustainability-In-Action: Good Beer is a craft beer shop in the East Village dedicated to providing customers with the best draft and bottled beers, charcuterie, cheeses, sausages and hot dogs with an emphasis on organic, heritage and regional products. Over 75% of his merchandise is local - and the draft beer is sold in reusable growlers. Good beer has installed CFL and LED lighting, uses all green cleaning supplies, furniture made from reclaimed wood, energy efficient applicanes, and uses low-VOC paints and finishes.
Sustainability Goals: Good Beer plans to cover their A/C unit in the winter to help maintain indoor air temperature, provide a designated recycling area for employees, and reduce their waste output by 10%. Good Beer also joined TapIt!
