Public Programs

The Ecology Center offers public programs designed to engage residents with their local environment and also to develop stewardship for our natural resources and community open space. Our programs take place in East River Park and also throughout New York City and cover topics such as composting, fishing, green space stewardship, and street tree care. Descriptions of our public environmental education offerings can be found in the menu to the left.

Public programs are offered throughout the year and a list of public workshops can be found on our calendar. Most are free.
