Sustainability-In-Action: Loho Realty represents properties in the Lower East Side. They are deeply involved in the community and regularly support local causes. They currently use recycled toilet tissue and paper towels. They have indoor plants to improve indoor air quality and keep the heat off except for a few days out of the year. They regularly clean their air conditioning unit for maximum energy efficiency.

Sustainability Goals: Loho Realty is planning to implement many changes and make their office green. They plan to plug their computers into power strips that get turned off at night and to install a low flow aerator and toilet water displacer in their bathroom. They are working toward reducing their waste output by 30% or more by recycling all their paper and providing designated recycling bins for customers and employees. To help with this effort, they are going to educate their employees on sustainability, recycling and waste and to purchase 30% post-consumer recycled paper, recycle their ink cartridges and purchase eco-friendly cleaning supplies. Finally they plan to use organic compost on their indoor plants.
